Is testosterone right for me?Updated 13 days ago

While we cannot provide medical advice, there may be specific reasons to prescribe testosterone.  If someone is experiencing Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD), testosterone may be helpful.

For many of Dr. Haver’s patients, a compounded testosterone cream has been a preferred option. Other clinicians may recommend testosterone pellets, which are inserted under the skin. Regardless of the delivery method, it is important that patients receiving testosterone therapy are appropriately monitored for potential adverse effects and that dosing does not result in testosterone levels above the normal physiologic range for women.

Please see this blog from The 'Pause Life, and also this article that you might find useful on the topic.

As with all HRT, testosterone therapy should only be done if you and your healthcare clinician have had a thorough discussion about the potential benefits and risks and agree that treatment is right for you.
